How to write a resume is one of the most important question in the recent times. Resume writing does not need any specific format, but it is important that it should be drafted in such a way that the employer is compelled to schedule an interview with the applicant. Before drafting a resume for any job opening, there are some points that need to be taken into consideration, such as:

  • The resume should be precise, short and have a professional outlook

  • Educational Qualifications- It includes the name of the degree/course, duration of the course, year of passing and the name of the university. It is most of the times written in reverse chronological order. You can also mention diploma or any other certification course, if any, as it strengthens your profile.
  • Achievements and Activities- This section includes prizes and awards that you have received from your current as well as previous organization. Make sure that you carry of the certificate at the time of interview. On the other hand, the activities include the extra-responsibilities that you have undertaken such as representing the organization, conducting tech-fest, participating in cultural events, etc.
  • Reference- Reference includes name of the referral, designation, name of the company, email-id and telephone number of the referral. You can mention more than one reference in your resume.
  • Other Personal Details – This section of the resume includes the marital status, date of birth, social security number, license number, and citizenship.
